SCM REF NZ CO₂ Roadshow March 2026

Over the past two weeks, SCM REF NZ has successfully delivered the South Island leg of our NZ CO₂ Roadshow, engaging with refrigeration customers and engineers across the region.

With sessions held in Dunedin, Christchurch, and Nelson, we hosted 7 small group sessions with a total of 87 participants, travelling over 2,000km with our live display unit.

The roadshow focused on providing a comprehensive overview of CO₂ in New Zealand and showcasing how SCM REF NZ supports the transition to sustainable natural refrigerant solutions. This includes complete system packages with evaporators, controls, and front-end management where required.

A key takeaway for attendees was the value of:

• Local parts availability

• Technical support

• Training and commissioning services

For many, this was an opportunity to better understand the breadth of transcritical CO₂ plant solutions already operating in New Zealand, from small commercial systems through to large industrial applications.

The interactive format allowed for in-depth discussions on system design and operation, with strong engagement during Q&A sessions and continued conversations following each event.

Natural refrigerants represent the future of refrigeration, and it is encouraging to see New Zealand already embracing CO₂ solutions in a climate well suited for efficient and cost-effective operation.

Following the success of the South Island roadshow, SCM REF NZ is now planning 6 North Island venues throughout 2026, with strong early interest from customers and industry professionals.
